Getting started
Before you book.
Is the Movement Assessment really free?
Yes. Thirty minutes, no cost, no commitment, no workout. It's a conversation plus a joint-by-joint movement screen, and you leave with a plain-language read on what it showed.
I'm too out of shape to start
There's no fitness prerequisite. The assessment involves no training at all, and every program begins from wherever you actually are.
I'm in my sixties — is this for me?
Clients range from their twenties into their seventies and beyond. Age changes the starting point, not whether the approach works. Joint health comes before load regardless.
How often should I train?
Most clients train two to three times a week. Two purposeful sessions outperform five improvised ones, and consistency matters more than frequency.
The method
How the training works.
What is FRC?
Functional Range Conditioning — a science-based joint-health and mobility system developed by Dr. Andreo Spina. It focuses on usable, active range of motion and strength at end ranges, rather than passive flexibility. Jason holds FRC, FRA, Kinstretch, and FRC-ISM certifications.
What are CARs?
Controlled Articular Rotations — slow, deliberate rotations of a single joint through its full active range. They open every session and double as a daily read on how a joint is moving that day.
Is this physical therapy?
No. IMS provides coaching, movement education, and recovery services. IMS does not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions. If you have an injury, pain, surgical history, or a medical concern, see a licensed healthcare provider.
Will I lift weights?
Yes, once your assessment supports it. Strength work is the point — joint preparation comes first so that the load builds you up rather than aggravating something.
Practical
Money, scheduling, and the building.
Do I need a membership?
No. Sessions are available individually or in packages of 6, 12, or 24. Memberships cost less per session if you train twice a week or more, and include unlimited Recovery Room access. Compare the options.
What's the cancellation policy?
Twelve hours notice to cancel or reschedule. That keeps the slot available to other clients. Late cancellations and no-shows forfeit the session.
Can I use the Recovery Room without training?
Yes. $25 per visit or $125 a month unlimited, no coaching required. More on the room.
Does IMS offer Pilates, massage, or chiropractic?
No. Independent practitioners rent space in the facility and run their own separate businesses — own clients, own rates, own scheduling. Those services are booked directly with each practitioner and are not provided by, supervised by, or affiliated with IMS. Practitioners interested in renting space can enquire here.
Where do I park?
Free parking directly outside Suite D at 10625 Scripps Ranch Blvd.

The free Movement Assessment gives you a clear read on how your joints are moving right now and what a program would actually address. You leave with that either way.
